TRM Labs Alternatives
TRM is one of the few vendors in this category with a public reference price, which makes it easy to compare honestly. Here are four alternatives and who each one actually suits.

TRM Labs is a strong platform and unusually transparent by the standards of its market. People shop around for two main reasons.
The first is the total cost over time. TRM's published customer agreement sets each renewal at the prior fee plus five percent, raisable further at the company's sole discretion on thirty days' notice, with automatic annual renewal unless cancelled thirty days ahead. On a five-figure licence, that compounding matters.
The second is fit. TRM sells per-licence to organisations. If you are one person with one address, there is no tier for you, and the two-week trial its UK listing offers is gated on accreditation.
The G-Cloud listing puts TRM Forensics Premium at £33,272 to £41,590 per licence per year, with support, a technical account manager, and a cloud support engineer included, plus a 99.5% monthly uptime SLA.
The product page describes search across 65+ blockchains and 1.9 billion-plus digital assets, cross-chain tracing, Signatures for detecting patterns like peeling chains and layering, seed-phrase analysis, and glass-box attribution that exposes the source and confidence score behind each label. TRM also cites a Net Promoter Score above 80 against a stated B2B SaaS average of 40.
That is a serious product. Any alternative should be judged against it rather than against a strawman.
Chainalysis is the obvious swap at the same tier. Its Reactor page cites 27+ blockchains, 40M+ assets, 134,000+ real-world counterparties, 1,500+ organisations as customers, and $34B+ in stolen funds frozen and recovered, with on-premises and FedRAMP-authorised deployment options.
Note the tradeoff honestly: TRM lists more chains and more assets, while Chainalysis brings deeper counterparty attribution, court-validated methodology, and stricter deployment options. Chainalysis publishes no price at all, so you lose the ability to budget before you talk to sales.
Best for: federal agencies, large exchanges, and anyone whose partners already run Reactor.
Elliptic publishes annual pricing on AWS Marketplace at $50,000 and $100,000 per unit for twelve months, sold by Elliptic, with private offers available. If you want to compare a number to TRM's number without a sales call, this is the other one that exists.
Elliptic leans toward cross-chain AML screening rather than investigation-first workflows. Buying through AWS Marketplace can also bypass a separate vendor onboarding if you already have an AWS agreement.
Best for: regulated firms whose primary need is screening rather than casework.
We are not an enterprise platform and will not pretend to be. What we do is answer "who is behind this address" immediately, for free to search and $19.99 for a full report, or $40 a month for ten credits plus unlimited wallet monitoring.
The difference is the layer. TRM is an on-chain intelligence platform with glass-box attribution of on-chain entities. We index off-chain identity: names, aliases, social profiles, contact details, linked accounts, and victim-filed scam reports, across 100+ sources, 373M+ wallets, and 1.1B+ records. An investigator with a serious case ideally wants both, and they are not substitutes.
Best for: individuals, lawyers, small teams, and anyone who cannot justify a per-seat annual licence. Details in TRM Labs vs WalletWhitePages.
A licence is a bet that you will do this work repeatedly. If you have one significant case, hiring the expertise is usually cheaper and better than buying software and learning it.
Glacier21, our parent company, runs professional tracing with former FBI and DOJ investigators. For a single large loss this costs far less than a five-figure annual licence and produces something you can hand to a lawyer or an agency.
Best for: one-off significant losses, litigation, and insurance or law-enforcement filings.
If you have ongoing regulatory screening obligations, buy TRM or a peer. If your investigations have to be reconstructable in court, the glass-box attribution is genuinely valuable and we have no equivalent. If you need 65+ chains covered, we cover far fewer. If you need a formal SLA, a technical account manager, and procurement paperwork an auditor will accept, that is what the licence fee buys and it is a fair price for it.
The five percent renewal clause is worth negotiating rather than treating as a reason to walk away. It is in their published terms, which is more than most of their competitors can say.
At the same tier, Chainalysis, which brings deeper counterparty attribution and FedRAMP deployment but publishes no price, or Elliptic, which publishes $50,000 and $100,000 per unit per year on AWS Marketplace. For individuals and small teams, a self-serve tool is a better fit than any of the three.
TRM lists TRM Forensics Premium at £33,272 to £41,590 per licence per year on UK G-Cloud. Elliptic publishes $50,000 and $100,000 per unit per year on AWS Marketplace. Chainalysis publishes nothing. WalletWhitePages is free to search, $19.99 a report, or $40 a month for ten credits plus unlimited monitoring.
Not among the ones with published figures. TRM cites 65+ blockchains and 1.9 billion-plus assets, which is more than Chainalysis states for Reactor at 27+ chains, and considerably more than we cover. If exhaustive chain coverage is your requirement, TRM is a strong answer and switching away from it is a step down on that axis.
No, and we would not recommend using it as one. If you are a regulated exchange, bank, or payment firm that needs continuous transaction screening, audit trails, and a vendor your regulator already recognises, buy one of the enterprise platforms. WalletWhitePages is for people and small teams who need an answer about a specific wallet without a procurement cycle.
Ours are on our pricing page: free to search and monitor five wallets, $19.99 for a single full report, or $40 a month for ten report credits plus unlimited wallet monitoring. Theirs are quoted from documents they published themselves, and we link to each one. Where a vendor publishes no price at all, we say that instead of repeating a third-party estimate, because those estimates disagree with each other enormously.
They tell you when the intelligence on a wallet changes, not when its balance does. A new scam report filed by another victim, a newly linked name or alias, a social or exchange account tied to the address, a fresh sanctions listing. Tools that alert on transactions tell you money moved. Ours tell you something new was learned about who is behind the address.
No. There is no demo, no discovery call, and no order form. You paste a wallet address and get results. A free account adds monitoring for up to five wallets and costs nothing.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Litecoin, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, XRP, Dogecoin, Avalanche, and more. The enterprise platforms generally cover more chains than we do, and if exhaustive chain coverage is your requirement, that is a real reason to choose them.
