Elliptic Alternatives
Elliptic is one of the few vendors that publishes a price, which makes the decision unusually clear: either $50,000 a year is in your budget or it is not. Here are the options on both sides of that line.

Elliptic's AWS Marketplace listing shows Tier 1 at $50,000 per unit for twelve months and Tier 2 at $100,000 per unit for twelve months, sold by Elliptic, with private offers available on request. Its own website publishes no tiers and its get started page is a demo request.
That published number does you a favour. Most buyers can tell immediately which side of it they are on, and the honest shortlist is different for each group.
Below, the peers worth comparing if $50,000 is affordable, and the real options if it is not.
TRM Labs is the closest comparison and also publishes a reference price: £33,272 to £41,590 per licence per year on the UK G-Cloud framework, covering 65+ blockchains and 1.9 billion-plus assets, with glass-box attribution that exposes the source and confidence behind each label. If you want investigation-first workflows rather than screening-first, TRM is the stronger fit.
Chainalysis publishes no price but brings 134,000+ attributed real-world counterparties, 1,500+ customer organisations, $34B+ in funds frozen and recovered, and on-premises or FedRAMP-authorised deployment. If your work is government-sensitive or has to survive court scrutiny, that is what you are paying for.
All three are genuine anti-money-laundering grade platforms. Choosing between them is about workflow and deployment, not about one being a budget version of another.
There is no cut-price version of Elliptic, and anyone selling you one is overselling. What exists instead are tools that answer narrower questions well.
Free block explorers will show you every transaction an address has made. That data is public and on-chain, so an explorer is the right free tool for "where did the money go" at a basic level. What no explorer tells you is who owns the address, which is usually the actual question.
WalletWhitePages fills that gap. Searching is free, a full report is $19.99, and $40 a month covers ten report credits plus unlimited wallet monitoring. Instead of a risk score derived from on-chain clustering, you get the off-chain identity layer: names and aliases, social profiles, contact details, linked exchange accounts, sanctions and risk labels, and scam reports other victims have filed, drawn from 100+ sources across 373M+ wallets and 1.1B+ records.
And if the loss is large, commissioning an investigation through our parent company Glacier21, staffed by former FBI and DOJ investigators, costs far less than an annual licence and gives you a named expert rather than a login.
Elliptic describes cross-chain screening that traces assets between blockchains to assess exposure to sanctioned entities and illicit activity, returned fast enough to sit in a live transaction flow. If you are a regulated exchange or payments firm, that capability is the product and none of the cheaper options replace it.
Elliptic also covers more chains than we do and produces documented, repeatable output built for examiners. We are an intelligence lookup, not a compliance control. Running a regulated screening obligation on a tool like ours would be a mistake, and we would rather say so than win the click.
Regulated firm with screening obligations: buy Elliptic, TRM, or Chainalysis. Investigator who needs casework tooling: compare TRM and Chainalysis first. Individual, lawyer, or small team with specific addresses to check: start with a free search here. Significant single loss: commission an investigation. The wrong move is paying $50,000 for a compliance control you do not need, or trying to satisfy a regulator with a $19.99 report.
For the same job, TRM Labs or Chainalysis. TRM publishes £33,272 to £41,590 per licence per year on UK G-Cloud and covers 65+ chains; Chainalysis publishes no price but offers deeper counterparty attribution and FedRAMP deployment. For a different and narrower job, a self-serve identity lookup like ours at $19.99 a report.
Cheaper tools exist but they do not do the same thing. Free block explorers show transactions but no ownership. We show off-chain identity and reputation for $19.99 a report but do not do regulated transaction screening. There is no cut-rate version of Elliptic itself.
Selling through AWS Marketplace requires stating subscription dimensions, so the $50,000 and $100,000 annual tiers are public as a consequence of that channel. Elliptic publishes no tiers on its own site, and the marketplace listing still invites buyers to contact them for a private offer.
No, and we would not recommend using it as one. If you are a regulated exchange, bank, or payment firm that needs continuous transaction screening, audit trails, and a vendor your regulator already recognises, buy one of the enterprise platforms. WalletWhitePages is for people and small teams who need an answer about a specific wallet without a procurement cycle.
Ours are on our pricing page: free to search and monitor five wallets, $19.99 for a single full report, or $40 a month for ten report credits plus unlimited wallet monitoring. Theirs are quoted from documents they published themselves, and we link to each one. Where a vendor publishes no price at all, we say that instead of repeating a third-party estimate, because those estimates disagree with each other enormously.
They tell you when the intelligence on a wallet changes, not when its balance does. A new scam report filed by another victim, a newly linked name or alias, a social or exchange account tied to the address, a fresh sanctions listing. Tools that alert on transactions tell you money moved. Ours tell you something new was learned about who is behind the address.
No. There is no demo, no discovery call, and no order form. You paste a wallet address and get results. A free account adds monitoring for up to five wallets and costs nothing.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Litecoin, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, XRP, Dogecoin, Avalanche, and more. The enterprise platforms generally cover more chains than we do, and if exhaustive chain coverage is your requirement, that is a real reason to choose them.
